For women, education is the key to gender equality, economic prosperity, better health and much more. For over a century, based on this belief, the Canadian Federation of University Women (CFUW) has played an important and active role advocating for women’s rights and leadership in all spheres of society. CFUW’s work, advancing women’s education, ensures that future women leaders are financially supported through their awards and fellowships. These fellowships and awards fund a range of graduate studies.

About the Scholarship

In the 2023-2024 CFUW will support thirteen (13) awards for graduate degree students. Awards are valued between $5,000-$11,000 for one year.

An Eligible Applicant Must:

Be a Canadian citizen or Permanent Resident of Canada; or have proof of status as a Protected Person from Immigration and Citizenship Canada (claimants are not eligible to apply); and is enrolled or has been accepted in an approved graduate research program.
If approvals of ethical reviews and/or research are required, the dates of approval reviews must be included in the application.
