2025 RBC Future Launch Scholarship
for Indigenous Youth

Application period opens: Thursday, November 22, 2024

Deadline to apply: Wednesday, February 5, 2025

The RBC Future Launch Scholarships for Indigenous Youth awards 20 scholarships annually worth up to $10,000 (for up to four years) to First Nations (Status or Non-Status), Inuit, and Métis students across Canada.

Scholarship recipients will be selected based on their engagement in community, financial need, and likelihood of success in future studies and goals.

Applicants must meet the following scholarship eligibility requirements:

  • Hold membership, citizenship, or are enrolled/registered in a First Nation (Status or Non-Status), Inuit, or Métis nation, community, or group recognized under Canadian law;
  • Be a permanent resident or citizen of Canada;
  • Be between the age of 17 to 29 years old;
  • Be a high school student enrolled in the 12th grade in the 2024-2025 academic year that will be entering post-secondary studies at an eligible post-secondary institution* in the 2025-2026 academic year;
    – OR – be a student enrolled in post-secondary studies at an eligible post-secondary institution** in the 2024-2025 academic year that will be continuing their post-secondary studies in the 2025-2026 academic year;
  • Not be an RBC employee or a dependent of an RBC employee.
  • Not be a recipient of the RBC Capital Markets Pathways Diversity Award Program.

*Eligible post-secondary institutions are defined as Canadian educational institutions which have recognized provincial/territorial degree/diploma-granting powers or their affiliates (e.g., vocational schools, colleges, universities), and Canadian educational institutions that are provincially/territorially registered or licensed to grant specific academic credentials for specific technical or vocational training programs (e.g., private career colleges, vocational colleges).
