The Tara Agrawal Scholarship

About the Scholarship:

Girish Agrawal immigrated to Canada from India, arriving in Calgary in 2000. In the years since, he has devoted himself to establishing his wealth management consulting practice, Agrawal Associates, and serving the financial planning needs of Canadians from all backgrounds. As he prepares to exit the industry and retire to his native India, he wants to give back to the country and industry which has given him such success and happiness.

During his time in the industry, Girish observed a lack of diversity among financial planners. The Tara Agrawal Financial Planning Scholarship, named in honor of Girish’s beloved mother, aims to promote diversity within the financial planning profession so that it better represents the populations that financial planners serve. More specifically, the scholarship is aimed at providing individuals from under-represented communities across Canada, greater opportunity to pursue CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER® certification.
